Attire

Students at I Dance with Kady Brandon wear custom made pale blue uniforms for our classical ballet classes which are to be purchased from the studio and are custom made. Please do not sell on second hand uniforms, as it is important that uniforms fit the students correctly.

Baby Ballerina Program: ’I Dance’ Pale blue cap sleeve leotard & skirt. Pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes. ‘I Dance’ Hair Bow.

Classical Ballet Classes:  ‘I Dance’ Pale blue ‘thin strap’ leotard. Pink ballet stockings and pink ballet shoes. ’I Dance’ Hair Bow.

MOVE & GROOVE: No Set Uniform.  Comfortable clothing which children can easily move in, eg shorts and shirt, leotard and shorts. Ballet or Jazz shoes are optional (but would assist with turning). Move & Groove Juniors who also participate in ‘I Dance’ Ballet Classes can wear their ‘I Dance’ uniform with their choice of shorts or skirt over the top.

All students should wear their hair neatly in a bun.

A NOTE ABOUT BALLET SHOES FOR BALLET CLASSES:  Please ensure your child is correctly fitted with proper classical ballet shoes (Bella Danza on Queen Street, AYR are able to fit according to Miss Kady’s preferences).  Wearing ‘street ballet flats’ is not permitted, as the children can not point their feet correctly.  Please ensure elastics are SEWN onto the ballet shoes. If you need assistance with how to do this please speak to Miss Kady or Miss Tracey and we are more than happy to provide advice regarding this.  If the children’s shoes do not have elastics sewn onto them, the shoes continually fall off the children’s feet and distract the children.  The ‘drawstring elastic’ in the ballet shoes is to be tied in a knot and cut off to the length of approximately 4-5cm and then tucked INTO the shoes, not tied into bows and left on top of the shoes.
