Kady Brandon (Owner, Director)
Kady is a fully qualified, highly experienced teacher in all facets of dance.  Kady has completed the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching studies and is registered RAD ballet teacher. Furthermore she is a fully qualified Glenn Wood Tap (GWT) Teacher and has completed her letters in Speech & Drama with Trinity College of London (ATCL).


Kady, was born and raised in Ayr and completed all of her RAD ballet examinations through to Advanced 2 at the Dance House in Ayr under the tuition of Clodagh Marchioni. In 2002, at the age of 15, Kady moved to Sydney to complete a twelve-month full-time ballet course at Alegria Dance Studios with RAD dual examiner, Hilary Kaplan, and obtained Solo Seal the highest level of RAD Examinations. In the same year Kady competed in the prestigious Adeline Genee Awards and was chosen as one of only eight female finalists to perform at the Sydney Opera House.

Growing up, Kady traveled to a myriad of competitions across Australia and the following is a summary of her major achievements:

· City of Sydney Open Tap Champion

· Most Outstanding Performer, Queensland Eisteddfod

· Invitation from Ross Coleman to perform at the People’s Choice Awards

· Classical, Tap and Modern Champion, Mackay Eisteddfod every year entered (6 years in a row)

· Classical, Tap and Modern Champion, Townsville Eisteddfod every year entered

Throughout Kady’s years of dance training she was coached by several leading Australian and International dance teachers and choreographers including:

      Kady has also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry and a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics. She currently practices at Stacey & Stacey Optometrists in Townsville and in Ayr.

Amaya Castrejana (Assistant Teacher)
We at ‘I Dance’ are so lucky to have Assistant Teacher, Amaya Castrejana as part of our faculty. Amaya has trained with Miss Kady since the age of 3 and has developed into a beautiful dancer, completing all RAD examinations up to Advanced Foundation with brilliant results. Also a student of Simply Dance, Amaya will sit her Advanced 1 examination this year and benefit from private coaching with Miss Kady. Miss Amaya is loved by all our students and is an asset to our studio.

 
Tracey Brandon (Assistant Teacher/Administration)
‘I Dance’ would not be possible without the constant efforts of ‘Miss Tracey’.  Tracey ensures ‘I Dance’ functions each and every week through her extremely hard work and dedication to the studio.  Tracey handles administration matters and also assists in classes. All the children at ‘I Dance’ adore Miss Tracey, and she is certainly a huge asset to our studio.
