In my position as a tutor with the Royal Academy of Dance [RAD], Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, in 2009 I had the pleasure of teaching/tutoring Kady on a 6 day intensive study period, which was the completion of the 10 week module. Kady instantly made an impression on me, as she stood out from her peers on the course. I had an inner feeling I had seen her somewhere before and a subsequent conversation ascertained that I was in the audience for the finals of the RAD Adeline Genée Competition in Sydney. It instantly came back to me and I blurted out ……….“You performed the Black Swan Solo”.

This was the beginning of a professional relationship with this amazingly motivated and artistic individual.

Her dedication, self-discipline and outstanding work ethic are to be greatly admired among the ballet teaching fraternity of today. She is a generous and truly committed individual with a strong creative process, who works diligently and methodically to always ensure she delivers the very best possible results for those students under her watchful care.

Kady possesses all the required qualities essential for a ballet teacher/tutor/coach for students of the 21st century.  She is innately Artistic and Musical, which is a seldom seen quality in the 21st century teacher.  She possesses an in depth knowledge and understanding of how to impart the required technique for all students, from beginners, to those preparing to enter the industry.

Kady’s humility to call on her vast network in industry professionals for advice and support when required to a student to the next level is outstanding.  Her great sense of humour and understanding of a parent herself, together with a practical “down to earth” understanding of the hurdles faced by potential artistes training in Regional Queensland to attain their dreams, holds her “ahead of the rest”.
